One of the best stress reducers is carding roving and spinning yarn. In my house, carding is made easier with this beautiful, old, rare, chain driven wool carder. I couldn’t get through my three bags of fleece without it.
I love fabric made of t-shirt yarn, but it sure does it hurt to crochet with.
How to:
1: With size Q crochet hook and holding two strands of t-shirt yarn together, single crochet in a circle while increasing some each round until you reached the desired diameter. 2: To build the walls, work next round in front loops only and stop increasing stitches. Continue until you reached desired height.
My (very loyal) friend Roxanne and I spent a few hours last week smearing vegetable shortening on balloons and covering them in glue soaked yarn. Aaand I’m not really sure I want to explain it any more than that.
Ah, the things we do for weddings. Now to find somewhere to hang all of THESE so they won’t get crushed. Perhaps they need to become a part of our pompom sculpture?
