Well, sort of! This is about as close as I’ve gotten to flowers and flying things lately.
While Roxanne and Ruby were visiting we cut 6.5 yards of burlap into five table runners for the picnic tables we will be using during the reception. We found the tables last summer for free on Craigslist. I finished hemming the runners last night, each in a different neon color.
I emerged from a craft-induced fog only to find myself surrounded by 19 GIANT tissue paper pompoms, which are quite delicate and cannot be crushed or ruined in the next 70-something days leading up to the wedding. So I strung them all together into some sort of wedding-blob.
In the foreground we have one of the 200-and-something antique mason jars that have recently been run through our dishwasher in preparation for use as centerpieces and candle holders at the wedding. And in the background…our sculpture.
