About

HEY! I’m Dagny, and I take dreamy photos. Dream Photo is my adventure blog. It showcases my every day life as well as the more exciting stuff like my latest shoots, road trips and big personal projects. When I’m not taking, editing and blogging my photos from the attic of our Victorian farmhouse, I’m hula hooping, sewing, dancing in the rain, pretending to be an interior designer, hunting for vintage for my Etsy shop, Peach Tree Vintage, knitting, crocheting, reading every classic I can get my hands on, gardening and, of course, hanging out with my husband/official BFF + our cat, Millie AKA Hipsterkitty. Speaking of love, Andrew is a senior at Harvard extension working towards a career in lab research. We were both unschooled (leader-led education; think homeschooling without a curriculum) and we met at a unschooling conference in Peabody, MA in 2004.

I’m very artistic and Andrew is very scientific, so our personalities and interests are definitely on opposite sides of the spectrum, but that just means we have lots to teach each other! We like to spend our free time watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, reading books to each other, playing Skyrim late into the night and cooking.
We were best friends for a few years before Andrew finally acknowledged we were perfect for each other (I, of course, knew long before he did). Since he’s my “high school sweetheart” minus the high school, we got to do a lot of our growing up together which has been both incredibly embarrassing and, alternatively, wonderful. Our relationship was very difficult the first few years because we lived an hour away from each other – we spent a LOT of nights up until 5AM instant messaging each other. Our late-night romance trend continued when at 2AM on a cold day in March 2010 he proposed in his pajamas with his mother’s ring. My response was a sarcastic “yeah, I guess!” which in retrospect doesn’t make a very good story, but at the time all I could think was that it was so obvious that I would say yes, there wasn’t much of a point in him asking! We got married on June 24th, 2012. It was short and simple and sweet and exactly perfect, and you can read about it and see photos from the day here!
