Andrew’s ring from Etsy seller Rob and Lean arrived today. We had to be certain we had ordered the correct size (what a terrible thing that would be to find out on the 24th!) so he tried it on…
I made him close his eyes so he won’t see the secret engraving I chose until the wedding day.

[DIY crochet yarn baskets]
I love fabric made of t-shirt yarn, but it sure does it hurt to crochet with.
How to:
1: With size Q crochet hook and holding two strands of t-shirt yarn together, single crochet in a circle while increasing some each round until you reached the desired diameter. 2: To build the walls, work next round in front loops only and stop increasing stitches. Continue until you reached desired height.
[Our DIY wedding playlist.]
The future Mr. Dream and I have been putting the finishing touches on our Spotify playlist for the wedding, as music IS an important part of both of our lives, but a wedding DJ is not. So an iPod and boombox with Spotify’s free trial of premium it is.
This is another instance in which the internet has been our friend for the wedding. Andrew and I used Spotify’s share feature to build the playlist together…but on our own computers, at our own pace.
Let me know in the comments if you’ve got any must-have songs we should play. We love most all music except country, but are having a lot of trouble thinking of the classic wedding songs. So suggestions for those would be greatly appreciated!

[A wedding countdown.]
This week Andrew and I created a wedding countdown, based on this post from A Practical Wedding.
We each wrote a love note for half of the days remaining until our wedding. It could be a memory, an inside joke, or a general note of appreciation. The hope is that this effort will help ground us in the fact that no matter how absolutely batty I become over tissue paper pompoms, and no matter how much Andrew does NOT care about said pompoms, in the end, we love each other and we’ll be married, and that’s all that matters.
